The Kittitas County Democrats is elected by a majority of Precinct Committee Officers once every two years. This election is traditionally held during our December holiday party. The most recent board was unanimously elected in December 2010.

Treasurer: Debbie Strand
Debbie is an economic and business consultant specializing in the renewable energy sector. She has a background in business development, land use and economic development.
Theresa is a business and probate lawyer in solo practice in Kittitas County. Faith, family and community service are cherished and integral parts of her life. Politically, she is passionate about economic development, the arts, issues of social justice and a strong national defense.
First Vice Chair: Vacant
Second Vice Chair: James W. Green
James has lives in Cle Elum and the Kittitas valley for the last 32 years. He has been a union carpenter with Local 1770 since 1994.

State Committeeman: Kent Verbeck
Kent has been a resident of upper Kittitas County since 1974 and has been active with the Democratic Party since 1978. He works as a security manager for the Summit at Snoqualmie ski area.
State Committee Woman: Beverly Vifian
Beverly received her BA and Master’s degrees from CWU. She retired after thirty years as a Director of Curriculum and Instruction for Yakima Public Schools in 2000. She served as the Director of the federally funded GEAR UP Program at CWU from 2002-2009, assisting middle and high school students from low income communities to gain the skills and knowledge to succeed in college. She is eager to devote time, now, to ensuring that Kittitas County, WA State and national leadership positions are well represented by candidates dedicated to democratic values.
